Ocean front house fronts Richardson Beach. Great swimming and snorkeling. The property is located along a residential road (not a busy highway) that dead-ends about 1 block past the house. The Richardson Beach is located across the road from house. There is an unobstructed view of the ocean from the house. No houses or structures are located directly across from the house to block the view between Hawaii Beaches house and the Richardson's park and beach. Dolphins often frequent the area, and guests report 2 resident sea turtles at Richardson Beach. For very young children, see our section below on Onekahakaha Beach, located down the street from Richardson's Beach. This beach has a boulder enclosed swimming area and is a popular spot for young children. The pool has white sand on the bottom and no waves.

	Kids Beach Located along Kalanianaole Avenue close to Surfrider, Hawaii Beaches, and Lilikoi Houses, this beach is known as the "kids' beach" because of the shallow swimming area, white sand beach, and protective barrier. Lifeguard on duty daily.
	Richardson's Beach Directly in front of Hawaii Beaches and Surfrider houses, this beach is great for kids and adults alike. Great snorkeling, and the site of many kayak and canoe launches. Lifeguard present during the days.
	Richardson's Park & Beach Directly in front of Hawaii Beaches and Surfrider, the park and beach are readily accessible from both homes. Park has bathrooms, showers, and picnic areas.
	Leleiwi Beach Directly in front of the Lilikoi house, this large lagoon to the ocean is a wonderful place to swim. Lifeguard present daily.
	Beaches & Lagoons Next to Lilikoi house, protected swimming lagoons opening to the ocean and waves are common along the Hilo Bay.

	Kahaluu Beach Located along Alii Drive between Kailua-Kona town and Keauhou, this white sand beach is a favorite snorkeling spot but can get crowded.
	White Sands Beach Located along Alii Drive close to Dolphin Den, this beach is also fondly known to locals as "disappearing sands" when high surf covers the sandy beach. This happens only rarely, and this beach serves as a major Kona attraction.
